Fegg Hayes Futures
Fegg Hayes Futures runs The Hub@ST6, in Fegg Hayes. We offer a wide rage of support to our community, from providing free food for anyone who needs it via our fareshare scheme, to offering supported volunteer opportunities to those wanting to occupy some time whilst also giving back to their neighbourhood.
Food – surplus food donated by shops or supermarkets is available to anyone and we keep a small supply of long-life food for emergency food parcels
Food vouchers – issue Trussell Trust foodbank vouchers
Energy Advice support – the Green doctor (Groundwork WM) holds surgeries at The Hub. Groundwork’s Green Doctors offer energy saving advice and provide free energy saving measures for you and your home to help keep your home feeling warmer for less, and combat cold and damp
Financial advice – Potteries moneywise hold surgeries at the Hub. Potteries Moneywise is a project of Citizens Advice Staffordshire North and Stoke on Trent, funded by the Big Lottery, to help people increase their confidence with money.
Mental health/emotional support is offered to users of our services through peer support with signposting to other services if required. We also run a variety of activity sessions, including social lunches, bingo, and parent and toddler groups.
Welcoming Space – Tuesdays 10:00am-12:00pm. We offer a warm welcome with free tea and toast. There are a selection of crafts for people to have a go at, board games, laptops and free wi-fi access. There is also a free community singing group between 11.00 – 12.00 noon (in neighbouring building). We often have bread, pastries and other items to give away.
The Hub is open as a Community Lounge on Tuesdays from 10:00am-12:00pm. For more information on the Community Lounge, contact Locality Connector Steph Lancaster on 07771 338820.
